I recommend every beginner start with Ruqaa: it is approachable, and you’ll see your progress quickly. Watch the lessons in order, and practice each one before moving on.

The lessons are taught in Arabic. Calligraphy is learned largely by watching, and you can turn on English subtitles from the CC button in the YouTube player.
